LaForge Encore Theatre Company!
LaForge Encore Theatre Company is a non-profit organization dedicated to
bringing high level theatre to the residents of Tooele City.
A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
My Dear Family, Friends, and Fans of LaForge Encore Theatre Company:
Thank you so much for your dedication and the many hours you have volunteered to
be a part of LETC’s theatre productions and for coming to our shows to share the
magic with us. It never would have happened if not for the dedicated staff and
our passion for great theatre.
I taught theatre at Tooele High School for
35 years, “retired” in 2008, and produced at least one show a year for the last
10 years with LETC. I have decided I need a break.
LaForge Encore
Theatre Company will not be presenting a show in the summer of 2019.
This
decision has not been made lightly. I have discussed it with my Board of
Directors and with the Tooele City Arts Council who has graciously sponsored our
productions in the past. Without the Arts Council, LETC would not exist.
I have decided to take a sabbatical, take time to travel, take time to
re-group, take time to find people who want to fill some empty staff positions.
LETC is not going away – we are just taking a break from a major
production. We will still be doing Reader’s Theatre, Face Painting, and, with
the Tooele Arts Council, this year’s Christmas Show – SEASON OF WONDER. Perhaps
when we come back in 2020 we will all be refreshed and dedicated to giving
Tooele great theatrical experiences.
I love theatre. I love watching an
audience when they see the magic that we have created on that stage and it
touches their lives.
